Hello world!!

Hello!
Thank you so much for visiting me here in the Abbey, it's lovely to see you. My name is Diana and I'm a happily married, mum of a teenager, and I have decided to rock my little world, by leaving teaching (which I have been doing for the last 17 years) and opening a Crochet shop!!!

I came back to crochet in the last few years, after learning it with my Nana when I was knee high to a grasshopper. I have been very impressed with the range of yarns you can now get, and all the different designers in crochet that inspire us. However I am disappointed that I have to wander all over the net to find all the items I need to crochet. Hence the shop idea, I posted on Ravelry and many of you lovely people on the interweb replied and told me what you wanted.

I am currently still teaching, so will update here as often as I can, I am hoping to give you little tasters of what is going on :-)

This week I had to go and see some banks, which makes everything scary and exciting at the same time, and I have just been to Broadstairs for the day and seen to lovely yarn shops with really friendly people in there..... I'm hoping to post a couple of pics tomorrow.

I'm going to pop over to Ravelry soon, and have a chat with you guys..... see you soon xxxxxxxxxxx

Summer holiday

So this is the start of my blog, we have had a good summer, and I have got back into crochet, and folk music.

Broadstairs was great as usual, reasonable weather and a couple of beach days, as well as the folk festival. saw a band called Wheeler Street, at the bandstand started off sounding a bit Marrillion like and really great musicians.

Went to Shrewsbury for the Steram Rally at Onslow Park. taught Tina to crochet and was introduced to Show of Hands, a fab folk group, but not just a folk sound.

Have started to look at other festival sites now....
